The following courses are offered outside the Department of Communication and are allowed to be used towards the Communication major.

Please note:

  • You do not need to take any courses from the list below. This list is only if you wish to take courses outside of the Department for COM credit.
  • The COM Elective requirement for the Communication major allows any COM course to count towards COM Electives that is not already counting towards another major requirement. This includes COM-prefix courses and courses in the list below.
  • Students are allowed up to 10 credits from the following list to be counted towards COM major credit.
  • All courses below will count towards COM Electives and/or Upper Division.
  • All registration is done with the understanding that courses may have restrictions and/or prerequisites.
    • Do not contact host department for add codes, exceptions, and/or overloads.
    • There will be no exceptions made due to the course being on this list. Students must follow all guidelines when registering.
